Holly Yashi Jewelry in Sky West Magazine

SkyWest Magazine has featured Arcata business Holly Yashi Jewelry in its September and October issue in an article titled, “Holly Yashi -- Living the American Dream.”

When the Holly Yashi store was built inside their Arcata design studio last November, co-founders Holly Hosterman and Paul “Yashi” Lubitz wanted to appeal to local customers and also reach out to potential tourists to entice them to visit the new store where they could see Holly Yashi's current jewelry collection and observe artisans making the jewelry.

”We're thrilled to be featured in the magazine,” said Hosterman. “It's amazing; we've already had visitors walk into the store or customers call us from all over the country after reading the article.”

Sky West Airlines operates as United Express, and the national magazine will be placed in the back seat pockets of 1,086 daily flights to 167 cities around the country with more than 1,100 daily departures, for two months. This reaches nearly 2.5 million frequent air travelers.

”We handcraft our jewelry here in the USA, and that's really important to people today, so they tell us they like our story, they like where we live and they like what we do,” Lubitz said. “This article is good for Humboldt County tourism, and it's a wonderful compliment that crowns our 30th anniversary in business this year.”
